I am fascinated by sound and what artists in sound-based improvisations do with it. It has the possibility to broaden the perception of the listener, to get the chance to re-define what music is, where it starts, where it ends. This captures my interest and influences my own art practice. My research focuses on the border between music and visual art. With my paintings and graphics I invite the viewer to recognize the musical aspects of them, e.g. rhythm, gesture, dynamics, time, volume or pitch. By that I want to give a new experience that might change the way one looks and listens to their world and also how one is approaching visual art and music.
